Tomahawk Slot Review
The Tomahawk slot is one all about the ways of Native Americans, the symbols on the slot being many of those which they held most sacred. These include the rocks of the earth and the clouds in the sky, alongside both fire and rain. The slot also features a dreamcatcher, two ornate symbols representing the act of catching fish, a dragon fly, a wigwam, a tomahawk and a young brave. This slot differs from the majority of games due to the fact that there are 243 ways to win as opposed to the more standard set number of win lines, making for a casino experience where you’ll win more often than usual.
This slot is certainly a colourful one, but it wouldn’t be unkind to say that it’s not one of the top slots graphically. This might be due to the rather crudely drawn backdrop to the slot, which features a mountain skyline with two totem poles either side of the reels. The symbols on the reels themselves are better, the young brave drawn in a carton style perhaps being the best of all, although the plain grey canvas backdrop to the reels doesn’t help add vitality to the game. Whilst playing the Tomahawk slot there is a repeating Native American theme which adds some authenticity to the experience.
This Native American based slot has two main features – the free spins round and the bonus feature, both of which are activated by their own relevant scatters.
Set up and Play for Tomahawk Slot
This game has 5 reels. The 243 ways to win means that if you land a symbol consecutively from left to right in any position on the reels you are guaranteed a win (as opposed to the symbols having to be on a win line). There is a standard cost of 25x your coin value for each spin, though this will be multiplied by the coin amount of your choosing. You’ll need at least 3 in a row for any symbol to gain a win, although the biggest wins are obviously reserved for when landing 5 in a row.
The biggest winning symbol is the young brave who will win you 700x your coin amount when landing 5 in a row. This symbol is also the wild one in the game and will substitute for any others except the two scatters. The wigwam is the second most valuable symbol, paying out 350x for 5, while the rest of the symbols pay out between 200x and 40x when appearing on all 5 reels.
The auto spin option is a good one, where you’ll be able to set this manually or use one of the auto pre-set buttons for 10, 25, 50 or 100 spins without interruption.
Tomahawk Slot Features
The Tomahawk scatter symbol pays an immediate win when appearing two or more times on the reels, but more importantly, three or more sees the free spins activated. This round is progressively better the more scatters you landed to activate the feature. You’ll have 5 free spins with a 2x multiplier the majority of the time (having landed 3 scatters) but landing 4 scatters will see this improved to 10 free spins with the same 2x multiplier. This round is particularly impressive having landed all 5 scatters as you’ll gain 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier.
The Totem Builder bonus round takes you to a screen where you’ll see a basic totem pole with no carvings. You’ll choose a different carving for each section (starting at the bottom) and each time the section is carved you’ll win a prize amount. There are four sections, so at the end of the round your four prizes are added together to see your total win for the bonus round.
Tomahawk Slot Conclusion
This isn’t the best slot produced by Saucify but it certainly isn’t the worst either. Once you get past the rather basic look, the slot actually has quite a lot going for it. The combination of the free spins round, the bonus feature and the 243 ways to win makes it a game with an original feel and it’s not one you’re going to become bored playing anytime soon. Fans of low variance slots might like this game more than others, as the 243 ways to win will mean that wins come regularly, although they are generally smaller in size than at other slots.
