Let it Ride Casino Game
Let it Ride first made its appearance in land-based casinos in 1993. This game was created by Shuffle Master Inc, the same company that creates those automatic-shuffling machines. This game is now quite popular among players, since as a player, you do not bet against other players, neither do you bet against the dealer. As a matter of fact, this is among the few games where you can celebrate when the dealer reveals a high card. More so, Let it Ride offers a rare chance to players to decrease or withdraw bets if the game isn't going in their favor. This table game will often use cash chips which represent different values as opposed to slot games which opt for a coin-based system.
How to Play
A Let it Ride table, whether online or in a land-based casino, closely resembles the Blackjack table, but has three betting circles compared to Blackjack's one. The circle markings will differ from one casino to another, but most times you will find tables marked for $1 and $2 wagers.
To begin a game of Let it Ride, the player must place the minimum bet on all three circles. If the minimum bet is $5, then the player will need to place chips worth $5 on each circle, for a total $15. In a land-based casino, the Shuffle Master machine will then deal out three cards at a time, and the dealer will place these cards in front of each player. The dealer will also receive three cards, but he will discard one card and keep two cards facing down. All players are then allowed to check their hands. At this point you can take back one of your $5 bets if you don't like your hand.
After all players have made decisions on their hands, the dealer will reveal one of his two cards. This will count as the player's fourth card, so he better hope it's good. If the player finds it unfavorable, he can retrieve his second $5 bet from the second circle. However, the final $5 bet cannot be retrieved.
After all players have again made their decisions on their second bets, the dealer will reveal his second facedown card to complete the five-card hand for all players.
To win, the player's objective is to have a Pair of 10s or Better.
